Evil Path to RD

Very Important: If being evil you can NEVER kill Balork!!

Go to Kalastor, the Dodge trainer near the fountain by the dragon, and say Evil to him, then say Balork. He will tell you he knows nothing of evil but that Balork is.

Go to Balork, Level 4 LH Dungeon, as early as possible, preferably by level 5, as the Black Market Quest is now a required part of the path, and that has a 2 level waiting period in the middle of it.

When you talk to Balork, say evil. Follow the keywords and he will give you the keyword nightingale to say to Kalastor.

Return to Kalastor and say nightingale. Kalastor will welcome you to the dark path and tell you to check back for missions periodically. Say missions. He tells you how Edgar owes him money and wants you to get it back for him by shaking him up, meaning by telling Edgar kalastor. Before you say that though, here is a little trick for lowering Karma: Go to Edgar, a guy in cloth practically straight down from Kalastor, and say suck to him, until it stops lowering your karma. Now tell Edgar about kalastor. Edgar will now attack you, and you kill him. This gives you the money to return to Kalastor.

Return to Kalastor and say Edgar. He tells you well done, and that you may keep the money. He will now make reference to the Black Market.

Next (level 5 or higher), go to Kihlor Duhl in the back of the bank building, which is straight down the walkway that is in front of LH Temple. Tell him register, and follow the keywords and answer any questions yes til he tells you to take this letter to a merchant. Go to the Weapon shop dealer, as his letter will give you experience. Tell him letter, and he will give you a letter for Lord Sunrock. Do yourself a favor: Walk to WH and purchase at least one WH scroll though 2 or 3 would be quickest, for 10k apiece. But instead of going to Sunrock, hurry to Asarr in Thieves Cave.

Note: Thieves cave is thru Brigands Cave, and you will know you hit the right exit if you come out and its all Mountainy rather than grassy.

Find Asarr and tell him Report. He looks at the letter and then tells you to hurry and take it to Sunrock before he suspects anything. Now is a great time to have already had a WH scroll on you, as the letter quest itself is timed. Pop on over to Sunrock, who is in the back of the bank building. To find the Bank, go to the Pot shop and then head straight up the path on your screen, going in a door which has a carpet inside the room. Sunrock is the gentleman in a red cape. Sunrock will reward you according to which Merchant's letter you took.

Now you must go complete 2 levels. Return to Sunrock (another great time to have a WH Scroll on you). When you talk to Sunrock he says he thinks you are connected. Tell him connected and then return to Assar. Note: before you leave Sunrock, get a diamond from his chest next to him (if you planning to have a thief). Anyway, when you get back to Asarr he will give you a last chance to back out. Tell him no. He will refer you to the Lurker in WH, the NPC in the shop right next to the WH Weapon Shop. To the Lurker, say market of shadows. He refers you to the Weapons Dealer next door.

If it is night time, go to the Weapons Dealer, and say black market. You will now have access to the Black Market.

Now that you have the Black Market, you can return to Kalastor and say missions again. Once again you will receive the quest to get his money from Edgar, so do it as before. Repeat this by saying missions after you complete it, and within a few times, he should hint about Shadeem and ask you to find her. Tell him yes because he will ask if you would go look for her, at which time he refers to Lliurn Clar. You can either go to him now and say teleport or you can wait til level 25 to ask him or any time in between. Lliurn Clar will refer you to the Renegade Orc Leader in the SE corner of Jarkos 3rd Level, but you dont really have to go see him until you are actually level 25 and have the gloomblade on you that he wants (he calls it a glumblade). You may make the gloomblade at any time after you hit level 16, as Lance wont talk to you before then.

When you go to Lance Silversmith, in the house to the east of goblin crossing, bring him the following to make the gloomblade, saying work

These are the things that Lance wants to make the blade:

1 nightsword -- give Jagar Kar by LH pot shop a sword of fury and he will trade you a nightsword for it. The swords of fury come from Goblin Warlords. In addition you may get lucky and be able to buy the sword of fury from a player.

1 ring of darkness

A couple ways to get this: 1. Kill Jarko (will raise your karma but Killing the Renegade Orc Leader right after should balance that out), pick up Jarko's Spellbook and take it to Araknor, the necromancer behind LH Temple, and say Spellbook. You may as well take the opportunity to apprentice to him now as you will need it to talk to the RD Blind Man during the Evil Seraph Quest. Araknor will either give you a ring of darkness or a ring of confidence. BTW giving him the spellbook is repeatable but only once per half hour or so.

2. Get a Dark Key from either the Red Demon near Jarko by praying he drops one, or get one from a player. This will open the chest in the Red Demon's room. The chest spawns about every hour or so, and will either give you a ring of darkness or a weapon.

Once you are level 25, either talk to Lliurn Clar in WH Mage House and say teleport -- or if you already did that part, find the Renegade Orc Leader as spelled out earlier. Tell the Orc teleport then follow the keywords such as scribble-paper, being sure to answer his questions yes. In the end you will find yourself with a scroll to Silversky. Once you use it, go get Sanctuary in the temple (the path heading to the upper right corner of your screen from fountain). If you forget, you can simply buy a Silversky Scroll in WH Pot shop for 25k.
