He also teaches Flare, Major Combat Sense, Invisibility and Dispel.
Dispel is my personal favorite of these because it removes the effects of many Diseases, INCLUDING RABIES.
Go out the Sheriff's Gate. Go up the path until you see a sandy patch and lake on your left. Go off the dirt road, and go to the lefthand side of the beach. Go straight up along the beach until it starts to curve around to the right. Go up just an inch or two, then begin going up to the right at a 45 degree angle. Keep going. Stay straight no matter what. You will run into a little house. You have to have detect invisibility to see him, either the spell or a scroll.
You go like you are going to the invisibility teacher. Go to the top left corner of his house, and then continue on a 45 degree angle up to the right. You will come to the start of a mountain. Go along the right side of the mountain. When it is getting ready to curve to the right, continue straight up like to the top of your monitor. You will see a longish lake. Continue straight up past the lake on its left hand side. Get onto the dirt road, and go straight to the left. Go into the mountain and ever so slightly down. You will find a thin corridor. Go into it and on the upper side of the mountain you will see a cave entrance. There you are!!
Be careful though!!! If you mistype anything he will want to bash you!! Tell him hinteljent. If you arent too sure of the spelling at the time, tell the merchant work. He will give you the keyword. Scroll to the bottom of the buy list, and you will find manastones for 1000 gol each. However, he only sells and doesn't buy, so you may find yourself leaving alot of stuff behind so you can get as many stones as possible.... I have seen it happen plenty! So once you are comfortable with running there, you can gauge how much you need for the trip... or how much killing you should do along the way to avoid wasting. :))
The easiest way to get to Beltigan is to take the Sheriff's Exit , turn right and follow the castle wall between the wall and the mountain. At the end of the wall you will spot a road heading up or down. Follow the road down. Watch out because the way is full of nightcreepers, pilferers, wolves, the guys that look like the priests used to look, and nasty bee-type things. Stay to YOUR left and PASS the first split off to the right, and then take the second road that is on your right (your puppet's left). Follow it to the end and you will get to Beltigan's castle.
After you exit Beltigan's castle gate, (See elsewhere on this page) follow the castle wall up and around to the bottom of the castle. Continue walking for maybe a second to a path. Follow the path up. Cross the bridge that you will come to, and proceed to go right. Stay on the beach close to the water and follow it around , keeping the water on your puppets right. Don't start shooting at the centaurs across the water when you first start seeing them, cuz you will still have wolves following you. When you see a dirt road nearly touch the beach and the beach is ready to go around to the right, youre probably about half there. Continue on the beach. Soon you'll be going nearly straight up and then going around over the top. You should start seeing a dirt road again, running alongside the beach. Switch to the dirt road and follow it down. At the end of it you will see 2 grey pillars. Come thru the pillars and you will see the bridge to Centaur town. Cross the bridge. Most of the centaurs you see are quite willing to attack you, so run your mouse over them to see if you end up in attack mode. The only ones you want to find are Dionysus who is in a building on YOUR upper right after you get into town, and Thor Glarefire for the Swords of Majesty on YOUR left. Malachai Fatebringer is just down below Thor.
Warning: Especially if you do not have the Sanctuary spell, your main focus will be to have serious heal pots or better. A couple manastones may be useful if you have a lot of protective spells (not attack spells cuz youll be mainly running, not fighting!) The last time that I didn't make it was before I had sanctuary, and I had over 60 serious heal pots with me)
Go out the Sheriff's gate. Follow that road up, like you going to manastone seller but this time keep the lake on your LEFT (STAY ON ROAD) and whenever given a choice of continuing up or going right, go up. Its a long walk with lots of wolves and things that gang up on you like leprecauns and things, so run as much as possible, and if you seem to hit a quiet spot, take the opportunity to spell up and med if you can. If you have sanctuary try to save it, as you wont be able to cast any spells at all for 1-2 minutes AFTER it wears off (another time when running and serious heal potting will be useful til you can recast your sanctuary hehe). Eventually you will see a wooden sign on your left of the road which will refer to sunken roads, and you have a choice of going up, or going right. Continue to go up, as before, but you will be getting KINDA close. Keep following that road, and not long after it curves WAYYYYYYY down, you will see a turn that heads left. YOU ARE NEARLY THERE! Take that left turn and follow it because it leads straight to his house. If you make the trip *pant, pant*, say learn and he will tell you the 7 gateways he will teach you. The possibilities include Sunken Woods, Lighthaven, Windhowl, Silversky, something about druids which is probably the AR druid camp, Stonecrest, and Wizard's Vale, which is near Zhakar.
WARNING: THE MANA COST IS SET AT THE MAX OF WHATEVER YOUR MANA BAR HOLDS AT THE TIME. I am hearing that the cost continues to climb to whatever your max mp will be as you level as your mana points do climb. So be sure to spell up if you won't be landing in a safe zone!! In addition, the spell will hurt you, as well, although I can guarentee that the cost should be worth it, especially when you consider how deadly the trip is to Sunken Woods, and the sheer cost of scrolls to either Silversky (25,000) or Stonecrest (50,000) respectively.
Go out the Sheriff's exit and stay on road. Shortly you have a choice of splitting off to the right or continue going up. Take the right split and follow it around and down. You will come to a fork. If you go down BETWEEN the two roads in the middle and stay at about a 45 degree angle, you know you are fine and close if you begin to see a mt show up. Follow the mountain side until it starts to curve around and you see a patch of grey rocky ground. Get in the middle of that first grey semi-circle, and then go back to a 45 degree straight line (heading to the right bottom corner of your monitor). You will run straight into a building, and on the way you will be seeing the wolves gang up again. Go down around the front of the building and you will find a door. There is Theoran! As an interesting side note, whenever you say goodbye to him, he casts a Protective Aura on you (hey good incentive to say goodbye to NPCs!!)
